Presented by Emily Lyons. The enterprising women in the thriving metropolis of Kaskaskia were often left to manage the plantations while the men were embroiled in creating the database of Illinois. Ms. Lyons served as a teacher for 35 years and has been a member of the Liberty Bell of the West Patriotic Committee since 1972.
