Who, in uniform, will be sharing Colonel Morrison’s history from the Morrison Talbott House at the corner of Library and Park Street in Waterloo to the 49th Illinois Volunteer Infantry’s service in the Civil War. Specifics regarding the common soldier’s uniform, his weapon, the battles fought and the regiment casualties sustained will be discussed. A confederate uniform will be on display. You may wish to check the roster to see if your ancestor from Monroe County served in the 49th. Boo’s presentation will be held in the Allscheid-Metzger Gallery in the History Museum of Monroe County at 724 Elaine Dr. in Waterloo, IL.
