Who will discuss New Design, the first truly American settlement in Illinois. He will briefly cover the history of New Design from its inception to its eventual decline in the 1800s. Scott will also give a virtual tour of the New Design Baptist Cemetery, which is in a remote part of the county and almost inaccessible. Join us in the History Museum of Monroe County’s Allscheid-Metzger Gallery located at 724 Elaine Drive, Waterloo, IL.
