Scott AFB is the fourth oldest continually-operating Air Force Base in the United States. The history of Scott AFB is divided into several phases: WWI Flying and Aircraft Mechanic Training Base (1917-1919), The Lighter-than-Air (LTA) Era (1921-1937), WWII and Korean War Radio School (1940-1957), and the Aeromedical Evacuation Hub (1950s to Present). The History Museum of Monroe County is hosting this program in the Allscheid-Metzger Gallery located at 724 Elaine Drive in Waterloo, IL.
