“The Marvels Under Our Feet! A Look at Fogelpole Cave & the Subterranean Nature Preserve” by Father Paul Wightman.

A trip through Fogelpole’s Cave, the longest cave in Illinois! My presentation is an account of my addiction to caves that began as a teenager and lasted a life time. My interest led me to map about 10 miles of the cave, taking many photos along the way as I tried to search out the history of the cave. So come with me through the enormous corridors and over the numerous water falls of this little known cave! A Clifftop representative will provide a brief update on future plans for the Subterranean Nature Preserve. This presentation will be held in the Allscheid-Metzger Gallery in the History Museum of Monroe County at 724 Elaine Drive, Waterloo, IL.
