Join Sue Oerter for a historical journey through the quilt blocks chosen for Waterloo’s 125th Anniversary Quilts. Sue’s power-point presentation will demonstrate how women expressed themselves with needles and thread to give us a glimpse of their lives in history. Local women from Friends in Stitches Quilt Guild did the same thing in 2013 when they gathered to tell our history through these quilts. Oerter’s program is scheduled for the Allscheid-Metzger Gallery in the History Museum of Monroe County located at 724 Elaine Drive in Waterloo, IL.
